On June 23, recent International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) participant Mr. Thiam Nouhou met with Ambassador Susan D. Page, Chargé D’affaires to the U.S. Mission to the African Union (USAU) to share his experiences on his recent visit to the United states. Mr. Thiam Nouhou, Senior Policy Officer at Bureau of Chairperson, participated in the IVLP program entitled “ Accountability in Government and Business”. He said that he was impressed by the model of federalism in the USA, that both encourages unity as a nation. He also remarked on how America’s great diversity is supported through state sponsored programming. Furthermore, he expressed enthusiasm about using his experiences to contribute to the African Union Commission and deepening the existing relationship between the United States and Africa nations.
