International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) participant Mr. Ibraheem Sanusi met with Ambassador Susan D. Page, Chargé D’affaires to the U.S. Mission to the African Union (USAU) to share his experiences on his recent visit to the United States. Mr. Ibrhaeem Sanusi, Governance and Democracy analyst, participated in the IVLP program entitled “Managing Conflicts in a Democracy”. He said that he was impressed by the model of federalism in the USA and the unique link between policy and research. He noted that he looks forward to finding ways to make that link stronger in Africa. Furthermore, he expressed enthusiasm about using his experiences, adding that this type of exposure has helped him realize the importance of taking one’s destiny in their own hands.
