USAID Administrator Announces Key Appointments

Henrietta Fore, Administrator of the US Agency for International Development recently announced the appointment of key senior staff.   Administrator Fore named Dr. Sarah E. Moten as Deputy Coordinator for President Bush’s International Basic Education Initiative and Dorothy Douglas Taft as the new Director of the Office of Democracy and Governance in the Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance. Dr. Moten will assist Dr. Thomas Corts, Coordinator of the President’s Education Initiative with the task of expanding educational access to children in the targeted countries of Liberia, Mali, Ghana, Ethiopia, Honduras, and Yemen.  She will continue to serve as the Chief of the education Division, Bureau for Africa. Europe (the Helsinki Commission) and as a senior staff member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
